In August 2020, between Covid -19 lockdowns my family and I managed to escape to South Moravia in Czech Republic for a 2 week break for our children to spend time their grandparents. My fiance is from a beautiful small village called Tasovice where her father is a natural wine maker for family and friends consumption which I have been fortunate to enjoy for the past 10 years. In the August break I decided to propose (it went well) and her father quickly started to stockpile wine for the wedding the following year.
Due to Covid restrictions we (like many others) had to sadly postpone our wedding day.
With her father now having so much wine, we thought wouldn't it be great to bring it to the UK for us to enjoy with our friends.?.......
This led to a new idea.....Moravia Wines was born.
We decided it was too much for the grandparents to take on so we sent them on a wine tasting mission instead to find the very best natural wine maker in South Moravia who had 1, the licence to sell and 2, the capacity we would need. The result was a man named Igor from the same village, who my fiance actually went to school with and he has taken the reins of his family vineyard and we are now the exclusive importers of his wines to the UK.
The wines Igor makes are classed as 'natural wines' meaning this.... There are no pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, additives or flavourings used in growing, harvesting or making of the wine. Giving you the perfect flavour of the grapes from vine to glass.
Boxes of 6 or more can be delivered free of charge to local areas. This wine is temperature sensitive and requires refrigeration between 10-14 degrees C, Please bear this in mind when asking for delivery.
